But this is the case with so much of the final season, where various subplots and storylines do little to add anything meaningful to what should be the story of Claire as President. It’s a lackluster conclusion to a story that might have been a powerful way to frame a final season. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was filmed all over the LA area so I have been trying to visit as many filming locations from the movie as I can. Brad Pitt’s character lived in a trailer behind the Van Nuys drive-in theatre, which was actually filmed at the Paramount drive-in since the Van Nuys location no longer exists.

Either way, a tour of this 55-room Tudor estate is a good way to get a glimpse into the lives of LA’s historical 1%—costly slate clads the façade and walkways, the windows are leaded glass and guests were entertained in the bowling alley and two movie theaters.

Weirder still was that she was able to foil a supposedly elaborate assassination conspiracy from within her own government by pointing out the would-be killer—a soldier carrying a nuclear briefcase—and having him taken away by the Secret Service. These plot conveniences happened, quite obviously, to clear the stage for the final showdown between Claire and Doug, the only two major characters still in the mix. Ending on Claire killing Doug, saying, “There, no more pain,” and then looking villainously into the camera is so very House of Cards. This house is within walking distance from Fox Studios where the show was filmed so that worked out well for them.

While you can go to the drive-in, the trailer is not there. The Gamble House in Pasadena is one of my favorite homes to visit. It is filled with fascinating details and a tour is well worth your time. I recommend visiting The Gamble House to admire the architecture and history as much as I recommend visiting it as a filming location.

You won't find the porch swing or Fonzie's motorcycle parked on the front lawn, but, otherwise, the Happy Days house looks much the same as it did. You may find a private security guard driving around the neighborhood, though. Several houses in the Los Angeles area provided locations for some of your favorite TV shows.
